Doesn't Microsoft 365 back up my data automatically?
Partially. Microsoft maintains infrastructure redundancy but does not provide long-term backup against accidental deletion, ransomware, or deliberate data destruction. Microsoft's own documentation recommends third-party backup for M365 data. We deploy purpose-built M365 backup solutions for email, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
What's the difference between RTO and RPO?
Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is how long your business can tolerate being down before the impact becomes unacceptable. Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is how much data you can afford to lose — measured in hours or days of transactions. Both targets drive the backup architecture we design.
What makes a backup 'ransomware resilient'?
Ransomware specifically targets and encrypts backup files. Ransomware-resilient backups use immutable storage — backup data that cannot be modified or deleted by any process, including ransomware. We include immutable offsite copies in every backup architecture we design.
How often do you test backups?
